Music is an art form that transcends language and touches hearts, resonating with people in all times and cultures.
Since its beginning in 2012, the International Music Festival NIPPON has placed importance on bringing people together and interweaving past and future through music as it continues its journey.
The International Music Festival NIPPON 2026, the festival’s ninth edition, will be held in five locations—Yokohama, Nagoya, Tokai City, Kuji and Ishinomaki. Once again, diverse and fascinating programs will be performed by outstanding musicians spanning several generations, from both inside and outside Japan.
A special aspect of this music festival is that young musicians who previously participated as students in master classes, one of the education programs that has continued up to the present, are now returning to take part in the festival as musicians.
Moments when sounds resonate. I look forward to sharing with all of you a time in which this inspiration is passed on toward the future.
